Manatee logo
Manatee (6-0) Bradenton, FL

Manatee had little trouble with a solid Cypress Bay team. Cypress Bay made the Hurricanes sweat a bit as they kept it within two scores for most of the second half. A trip to Venice should be Manatee's best test in the last month.

Last: Def Cypress Bay 42-20

: 10/19 @ Venice (6-1)

John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (7-0) River Ridge, LA

The predication used last week to describe the likely outcome of the game against Newman was "pummel". Curtis complied, handing Newman a 50-0 beating. The Patriots are off this week, and 1-6 Clark wishes they were off on the 26th as well.

Last: Def Newman 50-0
Next: 10/26 Clark (1-6)

Louisville Trinity Logo
Trinity (8-0) Louisville, KY

Louisville Male used to be considered a scary game for Trinity. Those days seem like a long time ago as the Shamrocks walloped Male in a 38-7 victory. At the beginning of the season, Trinity's matchup with Archbishop Moeller looked like a game that could decide the FOX Sports Next National Championship. That game lost some luster as Moeller dropped a pair of games earlier this season, but the Crusaders got back on track last week beating Indianapolis Cathedral 48-13.

Last: Def Male 38-7
Next
: 10/26 Archbishop Moeller (OH) (6-2)
4 (4)
Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (7-0) Bellevue, WA

Mount Si was undefeated coming into the game against No. 4 Bellevue. They left the game defeated. Bellevue left little doubt about who was the best team in Washington with a 49-10 victory. Bellevue has two games left in the regular season that should amount to roughly 100-0 wins.

Last: Def Mount Si.
Next: 10/19 @ Mount Si (6-0)
5 (5)
Katy Logo
Katy (6-0) Katy, TX

Most of the Top 10 has been feasting on cupcakes. Katy didn't want to miss out and blew out Katy Taylor last week before they go and blowout Seven Lakes this week. Katy isn't likely to be given a decent game until 11/3 against Cinco Ranch.

Last: Def Katy Taylor 56-7
Next: 10/19 @ Seven Lakes (4-2)
6 (7)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (8-0) Cleveland, OH

Here's hoping St. Ignatius enjoyed its trip to Niagra Falls last week as St. Francis was no match for the Wildcats. The going will be tougher this week as St. Xavier is going to be a handful coming off of a bitter loss to St. Edward.

Last: Def St. Francis (NY) 56-0
Next
: 10/20 @ St. Xavier (5-3)
7 (8)
Vista Murrieta Logo
Vista Murrieta (7-0) Murrieta, CA

Great Oak kept it relatively interesting for a while before Vista Murrieta dispatched of them like a cat getting bored with a mouse. This week the Broncos should get a more even match against 7-0 Murrieta Valley.

Last: Def Great Oak 65-14
Next: 10/19 @ Murreta Mesa (7-0)
8 (9)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (6-0) DeSoto, TX

The bye week leading into its game with Mansfield Timberview bordered on cruel and unusual. The Eagles crushed the Wolves, but should get a stiffer challenge against Midlothian this week.

Last: Def Mansfield Timberview 61-7
Next: 10/19 Midlothian (5-1)
9 (10)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (6-0) Ft. Lauderdale

University continues to dispatch opponents with ease. This time it was Leesburg and a 4-2 record going home on the wrong end of a 42-3 score. A trip to Westminster Christian this week is likely to produce a similar result.

Last: Def Leesburg 42-3
Next: 10/19 @ Westminster Christian (4-3)
10 (11)
Butler Bulldogs Logo
Butler (8-0) Matthews, NC

One streak was broken as Providence was the first to put up double digits on Butler with 14 points. One streak was kept intact; Butler winning big. The latter streak is likely to continue this week, while the former streak is likely to begin anew against 1-8 South Mecklenberg.

Last: Def Providence 45-14
Next: 10/19 @ South Mecklenberg (1-8)
11 (12)
North Allegheny Logo
North Allegheny (7-0) Wexford, PA

Central Catholic could have been dangerous for North Allegheny coming off its huge win over Gateway, but the Tigers proved that they are Top 10 material in running their record to 7-0 and easily winning a trap game.

Last: Def Central Catholic 28-0
Next: 10/19 Shaler Area (0-7)
12 (13)
Good Counsel Logo
Good Counsel (6-1) Olney, MD

Good Counsel was efficient in its beating of Bishop McNamara with a 22-0 win. While the Falcons should win against St. Johns, Good Counsel knows better than to overlook the 5-3 Cadets who have played well this season even in losses.

Last: Def Bishop McNamara 22-0
Next
: 10/20 @ St. Johns (5-3)
13 (15)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (7-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle did what they needed to do against Amador Valley. Monte Vista should be a better game than what we've seen from De La Salle in the last month, but the Spartans should still win comfortably in the end.

Last: Def Amador Valley 52-24
Next: 10/19 Monte Vista (6-1)
14 (16)
Bishop Gorman Logo
Bishop Gorman (6-1) Las Vegas, NV

Yes Bishop Gorman beat Good Counsel earlier this season. Yes they have the same records, and yes Good Counsel has the better wins including Bergen Catholic who beat Bishop Gorman but lost to Good Counsel. That's about the only interesting thing to talk about with regards to Bishop Gorman, because the rest of their season is a snoozer.

Last: Def Bonanza 56-0
Next
: 10/19 @ Centennial (6-1)
15 (17)
Lincoln Logo
Lincoln (6-0) Tallahassee, FL

Lincoln rolled through Leon, and should roll into its showdown with Godby on 11/8 unbeaten.

Last: Def Leon 49-10
Next: 10/19 West Port (3-3)
16 (18)
Cibolo Steele Football Logo
Steele (6-0) Cibolo, Texas

Steele came off its bye week to face a King team that wasn't going to give them much of a challenge. A trip to South San Antonio should give the Knights starters a good opportunity to visit the Alamo... at halftime.

Last: Def King 54-14
Next: 10/19 @ South San Antonio (2-4)
17 (19)
Colerain Logo

Colerain (8-0) Cincinnati, OH

After a pair of easy wins, its back in the meat grinder this week for Colerain. Its game with Lakota West this week will test the Cardinals much better than its trip to Fairfield.

Last: Def Fairfield 65-6
Next: 10/19 Lakota West (8-0)

18 (20)
Camden County Logo
Camden County (7-0) Kingsland, GA

For years high school football fans in Georgia lamented Camden County's easy region schedule. Well, the Wildcats are in arguably the toughest region in the state, and Camden County continues to roll. Trips to Lowndes and Colquitt County to finish the season loom large.

Last: Def Tift County 47-0
Next: 10/26 Brunswick (3-3)
19 (36)
St. Edward (8-0) Lakewood, OH

St. Edward got a modicum of revenge on St. Xavier who ended the Eagles' season last year. St. Edward outlasted St. Xavier after jumping to a 24-9 halftime lead. Some teams start with a tough schedule, but St. Edward finishes with Moeller and No. 6 St. Ignatius after having knocked St. Xavier out of the Top 50.

Last: Def St. Xavier 27-16
Next: 10/19 @ Moeller (6-2)
20 (21)
Don Bosco Logo
Don Bosco Prep (5-1) Ramsey, NJ

Don Bosco appears to have found its way after a loss in its season opener to Gilman handily beating a good Paramus Catholic team. Now the Ironmen have a week off to get ready for Bergen Catholic who was just beaten soundly by Cocoa (FL).

Last: Def Paramus Catholic 31-8
Next: 10/27 @ Bergen Catholic (4-2)
21 (22)
Grayson Logo
Grayson (6-1) Loganville, GA

Grayson is rounding into shape and its Week 3 loss to Parkview is looking more like an aberration. South Gwinnett should test the Rams better than Central Gwinnett and Berkmar did the last two weeks.

Last: Def Berkmar 62-0
Next
: 10/19 South Gwinnett (6-1)

Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (6-1) Duncan, SC

It isn't Gaffney's best year, but unlike most of the opponents on Byrnes' schedule, the Indians don't cower in fear of the mighty Rebels. Gaffney pulled off the upset. Byrnes is still on track to win a State Championship, but any thoughts of a mythical national championship went out the window.

Last: Lost to Gaffney 22-18

: 10/19 Mauldin (4-4)

Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (3-2) Miami, FL

Central had the week off last week. With the early schedule the Rockets played, they deserve two weeks off. Carol City brings a 7-1 record into its big game with Central, but the last time Carol City faced a team of Central's caliber, Booker T. Washington laid the lumber to them in a 42-13 lss.

St. Joseph Regional Logo
St. Joseph Regional (4-1) Montvale, NJ

St. Joseph handled St. Peter's Prep in a tight game. The Green Knights face a trip to a good Paramus Catholic team who is coming off of a loss to Don Bosco Prep. St. Joseph has to have this game if they are to continue their quest towards a season finale against Don Bosco on 11/22.

Last: Def St. Peter's Prep 21-10
Next: 10/20 @ Paramus Catholic (4-1)
25 (37)
Allen Logo
Allen (5-1) Allen

A candidate for most impressive performance of the week, Allen handed Plano East its first loss of the season. Well, handed might not be the right way to describe it. Allen beat Plano East over the head to the tune of 56-0.

Last: Def Plano East 56-0

26 (25)
McGill-Toolen Logo
McGill-Toolen (7-0) Mobile, AL

McGill-Toolen easily went to 8-0 with a win over Montgomery on the road. The Yellow Jackets host Baker this week. Baker is capable of playing with McGill-Toolen, but the Yellow Jackets have the superior squad.

Last: Def Montgomery 35-0
Next: 10/19 Baker (5-2)

Hoover Logo
Hoover (7-0) Hoover, AL

A trip to Hillcrest could have been perilous for the Bucs, but Hoover came away with a solid 31-17 win on the road. The challenge that Minor presents this week will do justice to the team's name.

Mission Viejo Logo
Mission Viejo (7-0) Mission Viejo, CA

Mission Viejo destroyed league rival San Clemente. The Diablos jumped out to a 42-0 lead before backing off and cruising to a 45-7 win. The Diablos have a pair of interesting league games remaining, but in reality should cruise to the playoffs in a watered down South Coast League.

Last: Def San Clemente 45-7

Skyline Logo Sammamish
Skyline (7-0) Sammamish, WA

Newport gave Skyline a scare before USC commitment and FOX Sports Next's No. 1 quarterback Max Browne took over. The Spartans put up their customary 50+ and Newport couldn't keep pace.

American Heritage Logo

American Heritage (6-0) Delray Beach, FL

Gulliver Prep doesn't have the players to compete with American Heritage this year, and the Stallions ran past them to the tune of 41-7. American Heritage hasn't been tested since 9/13 against Glades Central.  Cardinal Newman isn't likely to put up much of a fight either despite its lofty 7-0 record.

Another Texas team on a roll after being upset early in the season, Skyline took out some frustration on a hapless Pearce team. The sun has already gone down on Sunset's season, and the Bison can't be happy to see Skyline coming to town.
