Reese Franklin stud playmaker from Hobbs high school figures to be one of the better prospects in New Mexico next season.  With his size and speed expect him to put up great numbers his senior season.  Here’s what he had to say regarding spring ball and recruiting.

PrepNewMexico.com: What kind of things are you looking forward to about Spring Ball?

Reese: Getting back to football and learning a new offense.  I’m going to be in lots of different spots so I have a lot to learn.  Hopefully I pick it up really smooth.

Reese: Daniel Lopez DB/WR he was a key player for us also our kicker Adam Richards and our QB Teron Bolton.

PrepNewMexico.com: What underclassman are you expecting to step up this year?

Reese: I think Brandon Salomon is going to be a great linebacker for us.  He’s intense and plays hard all the time.

Reese: I still don’t have any offers as of right now.

PrepNewMexico.com: If you had a top 5 schools as of right now who would it be?

Reese: My top 5 schools would be Georgia, Colorado, Texas Tech, New Mexico State and New Mexico.

Reese: No not yet

PrepNewMexico.com: What is your greatest football memory?

Reese: From last season it was for sure when we beat Carlsbad.

PrepNewMexico.com: What aspect of your game have you really worked on to get better for this upcoming season?

Reese: My quickness I have gotten faster and quicker overall.  I’ve also been working on catching the ball with my hands instead of my body and also how I hold the football.

PrepNewMexico.com: Name one teammate who has really improved since last season?

Reese: Shon Mitchell, I think he’s going to have a good season.

PrepNewMexico.com: What is the best piece of advice you have ever gotten?

Reese: Be the best in whatever it is I do.

We want to thank Reese for his time, we will be catching up with him again after spring ball to see how things went.  Coaches have a player you want us to talk with?  Email me: newmexicoinsider@yahoo.com
