Like we have said before 2007 in
the state of New Mexico is the year of the QB. Much has been made of Landry Jones from
Artesia and deservedly so. Jones is
currently a 4 star recruit and the Oklahoma commit is one of the top 100 players
in the country. But make no mistake
Jones is not the only QB prospect New
Mexico has to offer.
Cibola’s Jonathan Mader is making
a strong push to be the number two ranked QB from the state of New Mexico for the 2007
season. Mader has great size at 6’4
and 205 he also has really good speed and athletic abilities for a guy his
size. Most of the time when it
comes to QB’s schools won’t offer until they see that person throw live. Mader will have that chance this summer
to show in person what he has to offer.
Mader informed PrepNewMexico.com
via email this morning of his summer plans. Those plans are to attend several high
profile camps where he will get his shot to show his abilities. Mader will be a really busy man this
summer, but he’s up for the competition.
Mader will attend the following camps:
UTEP – June
2nd
Arizona State – June 3rd –
6th
New
Mexico – June 7th –
9th
Texas Tech – June 10th –
12th
Las
Vegas (Elite 11) June
23rd
BYU – June 25th –
28th
Mader is also considering a LSU
camp the first week in July, mix in his summer basketball duties and you can see
just how busy he will be this summer.
Here are some video clips of Mader
in action; you can see why schools like his athletic
abilities
