Jeremy Lasusky was one of the most dominant offensive lineman in the state during the 2007 season. He is a little undersized but he plays with a nasty streak that one college loves. He has made his college choice and we bring it to you.

In case you didn’t already know, national signing day is this Wednesday February 6th. Signing day to lots of colleges around the country is one of the most important days in building to a national championship. So many of these colleges will bank on student athletes that they feel will help them in the future.

It’s also a day that thousands of student athletes from around the country will make things official and sign on the dotted line with a school. Some of those schools will be major D1 type schools and others will be smaller D2 or D3 type schools, the JC level will also be getting pledges from athletes that will be a part of their squad.

We had a chance to ask a few questions to a couple of New Mexico athletes that will be signing on the dotted line this morning, one of those players is Manzano offensive lineman Jeremy Lasusky. Lasusuky might actually be the top offensive line prospect in the state this past season, he is a little undersized to be considered a D1 kid but this kid can play and has a nasty streak that colleges love. Here’s what Jeremy had to say.

Which school are you going to sign with this morning?

Today I will be signing with Fort Lewis College,Durango Colorado.

Why did you select this school?

Because it’s good school and I couldn’t pass up this opportunity and I really like the school and the area.

What are you looking forward to most about playing for this school?

Just getting the opportunity to play another four years at the next level and they run the spread offense which I am use to playing in.

What surprised you most about the recruiting process?

What really surprised me was how long it takes and to me it gets boring because you'll go weeks without hearing anything

What kind of advice would you give to future New Mexico athletes about getting recruited?

I would say to get your name out there as soon as possible, always remember to play hard and play through the whistle and always keep your grades up.

We would like to congratulate Jeremy and wish him the best of luck at Fort Lewis College.
