Roaming the Secondary

Aztec DB Jermaine Geter is one of the top playmakers that will be roaming the secondary in 2008. He's not the only great player coming returning, here's a quick look at others that will be playing big roles in the secondary.

Any defensive coordinator will tell you that if you have a great secondary you have a chance to be a pretty good defense. Having a great secondary allows you to stack 8 in the box to load up against the run game. It also allows you to feel comfortable using blitz schemes to take advantage of what the offense is doing. This past season we watched a couple of really good corners like Shon Mitchell from Hobbs and Jaden Isler from Clovis. While those two schools will have to figure out how to replace those two studs, others are still looking for that stud. Here is a quick list at a couple of players to watch roaming the secondary in the state of New Mexico for the 2008 season.
