Earlier this week we introduced you to a couple of Eldorado athletes that will be back to try and take the Eagles to the next level in Shane Smith and Jami Abdullah. While those two players are very special they aren’t the only talented returners for the Eagles in 2008. Today we introduce you to one of their defensive teammates in LB Brad Elliot. Elliot earned 2nd team all district last season and is working hard to improve and have a big senior season. Right now he is pushing the 200 pound mark and has pretty impressive strength benching 270 pounds and decent speed running in the 4.7 range.

What is your greatest football memory?
This year when the coaches told me to get John Posen motivated.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
To make it to State
What are you doing to prepare for this season? Will you attend any camps this season?
I am lifting everyday, working on my speed. I am going to the CU camp and I already attended the Nike Combine in Houston.
What aspect of your game have you really worked hard on to improve?
Reading plays better and overall knowledge of the game.
Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for next year? Jami Abdullah, Shane Smith, Damon Hudson, Justin Sedillo, Evan Mount, Orrin Sears and Derek Silva.
Name one teammate that you respect the most and why?
Damon Hudson, he has always helped me out with everything. He just works so hard.
What are your goals as far as playing football in college?
I would love to.

No one and none.

Austin Baucom, because he made me better every day in practice when I was a sophomore.

How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
Full of energy and gets the team going.
What is your strength as a football player?
Being able to get my teammates all on the same page.
What is your weakness as a football player?
Experience, I have only played for 4 years.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Justin Dugger, he is just such a cool guy. I look up to him so much.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever gotten? Who did you get it from? Never back down
Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My mom, she has just always pushed me and believed in me.
