Day three in our on going series comparing talent from Arizona to talent in New Mexico. Today we take a look at the WR spot with Isaiah Fuller from La Cueva HS (NM) and Roderick Ford from Yuma Catholic (AZ). Both have good size and good athletic ability. Here's your chance to compare the two side by side.

One of the fun things about watching high school football from around the country is to try and compare the talent from around the country.  We thought it would be fun to compare athletes from two different states and see what the outcome is.  So over the next few days we will be comparing prospects from New Mexico and prospects from Arizona.  We have selected players from the same positions and tried to find players with the same height and weight.  Some of these players have major offers from Pac 10 level schools; while others are still waiting to hear a school call them up.  Again, we are doing this more as a gage to hopefully, better understand the recruiting process and to compare the talent level in the two states.

In today’s match-up we take a look at two WR’s that are flying under the radar from a recruiting standpoint.  From New Mexico we have Isaiah Fuller from La Cueva HS and from Arizona Roderick Ford from Yuma Catholic HS.

La Cueva HS always produces top notch talent and this year appears to be no different.  Senior Isaiah Fuller will get a chance to play at the college level and will be one of the better WR in the state this season.  At 6’2 and 180 pounds Fuller has good size and decent speed running in the 4.6 range.  Fuller has great hands and does a good job of going to get the ball at its highest point.  When watching his film I am really impressed with his leaping ability.  Fuller doesn’t have any offers at this point but continues to hear from New Mexico State, New Mexico and UTEP.  Here is a link to his highlight video

Yuma Catholic WR Roderick Ford is a really interesting prospect.  Ford has great size at 6’3 and 185 and also has good speed to go along with it, running in the 4.6 range as well.  Ford is really long and makes big plays from his WR and DB position.  One of the reasons he doesn’t have any offers as of yet, is because of the fact that Yuma Catholic is a 2A school and Yuma isn’t a common destination for recruiters to stop by and take a look at prospects.  Ford has no offers at this point, but continues to hear from several schools from across the country.  Here is a link to his highlight video

You be the judge, comparing these two side by side.  We will have a link on the message boards for you to vote for your favorite.
