Las Cruces goes on the road to take on a very talented team in La Cueva. RB/LB Gus Bowe is one of many talented skill position players that the Bears feature. Check out this story, it's a free one and we make a final score prediction.

Las Cruces vs. La Cueva
This game has all the stars at the skill positions.  Las Cruces tandem of James Hall and Dante Caro are two of the best at their position and when you add in guys like Jacob Lilly and you see why this team is so loaded.  If any team in New Mexico can compete with Las Cruces on the skill front its La Cueva.  Gus Bowe and Isaiah Fuller are two of the top players at their respective positions and sophomore sensation Ronnie Daniels might be the best player in New Mexico right now.  With all that talent on the field, this has the making of a high scoring game.

Las Cruces runs a version of the Utah offense that features a dual threat QB.  The premise of the offense is to force the defense to play assignment football and have a smart QB that runs the show.  Caro is a stud in this offense and is a legit threat to score on every play and from all over the field.  When he hands off to Hall, he has enough speed and moves to get a big gain and take it the distance as well.  Make no mistake, even though they play in a shotgun they want to run the football out of this formation.  The key to stopping the offense is to trust your assignments and rally to the football.  If La Cueva on defense gets caught looking for the ball, than Caro and Hall will have a big night.

On offense La Cueva is more balanced and their three headed monster of skill position talent is second to none in the state.  WR Isaiah Fuller has great body control and leaping ability.  RB Gus Bowe is built like a brick and will get the tough yards in the middle of the defense and has speed to take it to the house.  Daniels is a special athlete that will be one to watch over the next two years.  To me the key to stopping the Bears on offense is to limit the big play potential they have.  If Las Cruces can make the Bears drive the length of the field and not give up big plays to Fuller, Bowe and Daniels that will go along way to helping their cause.

This is a hard one to call, but we always make a prediction.  We will take Las Cruces on the road in a great game 34-24.
