Now that signing day for the class of 2009 is over, the question becomes which players are the next studs that will ink their name on a scholarship in the future. It has been widely considered from the last few years that La Cueva, athlete Ronnie Daniels will be the top overall prospect in the state in two years. However, one player that could make a legit case for that title before it is all said and done is Eldorado lineman Willie Pounds. Pounds had a huge sophomore season earning all 1st team all district, 1st team all metro and all state honors. He has great size for a defensive lineman at 6’3 and nearly 300 pounds.
