A.C. Crespin talened DE prospect from Rio Rancho called us to let us know how camps went this past weekend, at TCU and North Texas. Crespin was very impressive running very fast 40 times and showing a very explosive vertical leap.

A.C. Crespin, standout DE from Rio Rancho called us this weekend to talk about his experiences at both TCU and North Texas.

Crespin was really looking forward to both of these camps.  Camps like these two really give players a chance to do several things.  Things like being able to show coaches first hand what they can do.  It also allows schools to see just how much athleticism a player might have.  Most people in New Mexico already know just how athletic Crespin is, but this past weekend TCU and North Texas were able to see things first hand.

At the TCU camp A.C. ran two different 40’s blistering the track running a 4.84 on his 1st attempt and a very, very fast 4.74 on his second attempt.  Running in the 4.7 range is very fast especially when you run carrying 265 on your frame.  A.C. informed us that he was really looking forward to competing in the one on one drills however, they didn’t do these drills at the camp.  TCU was very impressed and asked Crespin to send his game tape to them after his first few games of his senior season.

At North Texas more of the same, A.C. once again was very impressive running the 40 and showed great explosion posting a very good 31 inch vertical leap.  Again, pretty amazing when you consider he’s 265.  North Texas to, asked for A.C. to send in his tape after his 1st two games his senior year.

Overall this was a good weekend for Crespin, he was able to get his name out there some more and was able to showcase his abilities.  Hopefully, that talent will give him a chance to play on Saturday’s next season.
