| Is a team captain for Clovis and broke a 21-year old school record for career rushing yards with 4,266, carries with 664 and touchdowns with 55. He also broke two school single-season records with 335 carries and 33 rushing touchdowns. He also added school records with 10 200-yard games in his career and six in a single season.
One of the top offensive players in the Class of 2007 in New Mexico, Mead was a First Team All-State selection as a junior in New Mexico, rushing for 1,942 yards on 281 carries (6.91 ypc) and scored 19 touchdowns while adding 85 yards on 5 receptions and a touchdown as well as 192 yards on 6 kickoff returns, taking one back for a score. Also named First Team All-District, Amarillo Globe News 4A-5A Golden Spread Football team. Does track for Clovis, running a 14.49 in the 110h and 42.0 in the 300h as well as jumping 21' in the long jump.
A good student, Mead has a 3.5 GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT, registering with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
